Whether you’re planning an epic vacation or mapping out local restaurant goals, creating lists on Spot are the best way to stay organized.
To start, open up the Spot App. Then, tap the ➕ button in the navigation bar to get started:
Here are our top 3 tips for creating awesome lists:
1. Give your list an great title and cover photo 📘
Come up with a catchy (or just useful!) title. Then, either add a personal photo to represent the list or choose a gorgeous photo from one of the spots.
To choose a photo, cruise the image carousel until you find one you like.
2. Personalize your list with an engaging description 😮
Descriptions — the text block below the title — should sum up what your list is all about. Own it. You can show off your voice whether punny, sarcastic, or straight-forward.
3) Get in the details — add notes to spots on your list ✍
What made your experience awesome? What is something about this place that most people don’t know?
The best notes tend to:
- Cover unique details about a spot — “Stassi holds court here on Thursdays”
- Hit additional things to do in the area — “pop over to the cocktail bar next door for an after dinner drink”
- Tell a story that makes the reader want to have the same experience — “the hot pot and atmosphere were so on point, I’m actually looking forward to my next co-worker dinner”

You can always create your list in private mode if you don’t want it to appear in your public profile. If you’re ready to publish, simply enter the list edit screen and move the toggle to go live.
